Knoll Cottage is a lovely cottage in a wonderful location, clinging to the side of beautiful Bradford Dale at the quieter end of picturesque Youlgreave. If you can tear yourselves away from the view then you will be just as pleased with the cottage with its comfortable furnishings, attractive decoration, panelled doors and stripped wood floors, mellow pine furniture and glowing log burning stove.

Sit on the sunny patio and soak up the silence as the mist floats up through the trees and the valley comes awake. Wander along to the little village shops to buy your newspaper, eggs and bacon for breakfast or a picnic lunch for later. A stroll down the Dale will be next to spot the kingfishers in the river before setting of again to explore the rest of the Peak District.

With those wider horizons you might fancy nearby Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall and Bakewell. But our personal favorites are Caudwell's heritage and craft centre, Carsington's wild water sports, Crich's fantastic tramway and Castleton's Blue John caverns. Be back in time to have some 'take away' fish and chips from the George Hotel or a mouth-watering meal in the Farmyard Inn.

Cottage Facilities.

An attractive lounge with comfortable suite, traditional fireplace, T.V. and DVD. A lovely dining room with table and chairs, sofa, traditional dresser, T.V. and log burning stove. A fitted kitchen with cooker, microwave, fridge, freezer, automatic washer and tumble dryer. A super double bedroom with pine furniture and views across the dale. A similar twin bedroom. A single bedroom with pull out bed for a sixth person. A nicely tiled bathroom with bath/shower over and W.C. A downstairs W.C.

Linen and towels are provided. Central heating, power and an initial supply of fuel for the stove are included. A cot and high chair can be requested. There is an attractive patio with furniture. Parking is on the village street at the top of the footpath down to the cottage or in the little local car park just along the road. A small pet is allowed by arrangement. Smoking is not permitted. Access for people with disabilities may be difficult.
