A lovely stone cottage set in an acre of grounds in a secret little valley just down from the centre of picturesque Kniveton village.

The Cliffe is a lovely 16th century stone cottage, set in an acre of grounds, in a secret little valley just down from the centre of picturesque Kniveton. Recently renovated to a high standard just revel in its space, quality and character with attractive decoration and drapes, sumptuous furniture and fittings, crisp bed linen and even a glowing log burning stove.  

Set in a quiet tranquil lane you could be in the middle of nowhere with just bird song breaking the silence. But a stroll along the lane will get you to the Red Lion pub and a wander across the fields will take you to the Ketch, renowned for its good food. Super countryside walks are all around and all Derbyshire's attractions are close by.

The local town of Ashbourne is a must with its lovely market square, country stores, antique shops, art galleries and restaurants. The beautiful spa town of Buxton is just 30 minutes away as is Bakewell famous for its Puddings and much, much more. Children will love the Great Slide at Chatsworth, storming Peveril Castle's battlements, panning for National Stone Centre gold, riding Peak Rail's steam trains and being frightened silly at Alton Towers.

Cottage facilities:

A superb beamed lounge with luxurious sofas, T.V., DVD, SKY, WiFi ,CD stereo and glowing log burning stove. An attractive oak floored dining room with oak table and chairs. A well-fitted kitchen with bespoke pine units, hob, oven, microwave, large fridge/freezer and dishwasher. A utility/drying room with automatic washer. A lovely spacious double bedroom with king-size bed A second double bedroom and a twin bedroom with T.V. and DVD. A classy downstairs bathroom with bath/shower over and W.C. An upstairs cloakroom with W.C.

Linen and towels are provided. Central heating, power and an initial supply of fuel for the stove are included. A cot and high chair can be requested. There is a spacious patio with furniture and access to the adjoining paddock. Ample parking is available. A small pet is allowed on the ground floor of the cottage. Smoking is not permitted. Access for people with disabilities may be difficult.

Weekly bookings are normally Saturday to Saturday but short breaks are available throughout the year excluding Xmas and New Year. Bookings for Christmas and New Year are from Sunday to Sunday.
