Copy Wood Cottage is a really handsome cottage in a wonderful setting, high up on the side of the Derwent Valley with incredible views towards Chatsworth and Bakewell. The views make the cottage special but so does its decoration, comfortable accommodation, sunny patio and large garden ideal for children's games.
Tinkersley is a sleepy little hamlet, off the beaten track, with super walks along the hillside, through Copy and Rowsley woods and then up on to the heather clad Beeley moor. But if you wander down into the valley you are just as soon in the thick of things with the Peak Village tourist shopping centre, Cauldwell Mill's craft centre, Grouse and Claret pub and the Peacock hotel all to be found in nearby Rowsley.
Stand at the door of the cottage and the only thing you are likely to hear is the rustle of the leaves on the trees. But jump in the car and in minutes you can be exploring Chatsworth House or Haddon Hall, riding Peak Rail's steam trains or Matlock Bath's cable cars, browsing all the interesting shops in Bakewell or setting off for the Peak District hills.
An attractive lounge with comfortable furniture, crackling open fire, T.V., DVD, Wi Fi and fantastic views across the valley. An adjoining dining area with traditional dresser, table and chairs. A fitted kitchen with hob, oven, microwave, fridge-freezer, dishwasher and automatic washer. A lovely double bedroom with the same fantastic views. A similar twin bedroom. A bathroom with bath/shower over and W.C. A downstairs double bedroom with en-suite shower and W.C.
Linen and towels are provided. Central heating, power and an initial supply of fuel for the fire are included. A cot and high chair can be requested. There is a sunny patio with furniture and incredible views, together with a large garden. Parking for two cars is available. Pets are allowed. Smoking not permitted. Access for people with disabilities may be difficult.
Short breaks are available throughout the year. Flexible start day for bookings.
Nearest pub - Rowsley 0.75 miles. Nearest village shop - Rowsley 0.75 miles. Nearest supermarket - Bakewell 3 miles.
"Lovely stay just wish we were here longer. Enjoyable family friendly walks at Monsal Head and Castleton. From prior visit would recommend Ilam too. Haddon Hall lovely and a good Sunday Roast ! Wonderful seeing all the birds, impressed at the speed they demolish sunflower hearts."

"We've really enjoyed our short stay in the lovely cottage. The weather has been kind but cold, we've loved the views across the valley on frosty mornings. We made the most of the Autumn apples and had a lovely crumble. Local walks up into the woods were lovely and we had a great day out at Chatsworth where the colours were beautiful."
