Longstone View is a delightful stone cottage recently restored to a superb standard. It has old wooden floors, terracotta tiles, mellow pine doors and panelling, curving stairs and sloping ceilings mirroring the surrounding Peak District hills. Add its comfortable furnishings, lovely decoration, quality linen, fully fitted cottage- style kitchen, super bathroom, glowing log- burning stove and valley views to make a little masterpiece of a cottage.
Snuggled up in a jumble of cottages on the hillside above the centre of Bakewell, the cottage also has a brilliant location. Wander down to the river to feed the ducks. Stroll into town for sumptuous food from the deli. Lunch in one of the many restaurants and cafes is a must before browsing around all the interesting shops. Explore the surrounding dales with their incredible scenery, villages and pubs. Walk along Calver Edge and you really are 'on top of the world' as you gaze out over wave after wave of Peak District hills.

"Lovely clean, cosy cottage. Loved the fire after a day out. Weather was not great but did not stop us exploring this lovely part of the country. Would recommend The Pointing Dog and Duck for great food just over the bridge. The wine is a lovely touch. Thank you."

"We relaxed in your cosy warm cottage after days out visiting Buxton, Chatsworth House and Bolsover Castle. The weather has been disappointing but it did not dampen our spirits on the selected walks from the Peak District Pathfinders Guide. Bakewell is a lovely market town and we recommnd The Pointing Dog and Duck for a good meal. Thank you fo the wine."
