"Thank you for letting us stay in your lovely house-it's been perfect for us. Our week here has flown by and we hardly feel as though we have scraped the surface of the area. Still, we've had great walks/cycle rides along Longstone Edge, the Monsal Trail, around Edensor and Chatsworth, Wyedale and Bakewell. We also recommend Thornbridge Hall gardens and lunch at the Devonshire Dome in Buxton. We hope to return to make a start on the rest !"

"Thank you for a lovely stay here at The Little House, which is a very comfortable well equipped base. The weather curtailed our activities but we still managed to have a restful but interesting break."

"We have loved our second visit to The Little Cottage. It's a cosy, relaxing, perfectly located haven and a little home from home for a holiday. Weather's been very kind to us, allowing for walks to Monsal Dale (wonderful but tiring 8 miles !) We recovered enough to enjoy pubs on the doorstep, perfect ! Good food in both, lovely cat (Max) in Crispin. Thanks for everything."

"Thank you for a lovely week in your cosy home. We have revisited all the many villages we have stayed in previously and can now add Great Longstone to the list ! As ever in the Peak District a very enjoyable week ( especially the bus ride to Castleton-wonderful scenery for 45 minutes! )"

"Thank you for our very comfortable, cosy week in your cottage. Everything we needed was provided and it was a lovely base for us to visit many of the local attractions. We visited Dovedale (long walk up to Milldale), Matlock, Bakewell, Ashford in the Water, Castleton (including Peverill Castle), long walk at Derwent Valley reservoirs. Then Bakewell and The Monsal Trail. The only problems were an noisy flush in the top bedroom and a problem connecting to the Wi Fi. However both problems were sorted out within a few hours by Mike who had checked to see if we had any problems. Thank you once again and we have had a really good week."

"We've had wonderful weather all week, blue sky and sunshine day after day. We were lucky to be here for the Open Gardens weekend. There were many lovely gardens and it was a good introduction to the village. Both the pubs in the village are excellant and exceedingly handy. We did several local wlaks. Monsal Dale, Longstone Edge (walking from the door ), Lathkill Dale and Bretton Clough. The furthest away we went to was Dovedale and of course we had to go to Chatsworth. The cottage is nice and comfortable and keeps reasonably cool in the hot weather. A lovely stay in a lovely little cottage."

"We have had a lovely week in this beautiful part of Derbyshire. We found the cottage comfortable and ideally placed for evening meals at the local pubs, both of which were fine. We have explored Bakewell, Eyam, Castleton, Tissington and many other palces in between. Had a very pleasant walk despite the wind to Monsal Head from the cottage and enjoyed the cakes at the Tearoom there. All in all a very good week."

"Thank you for such an enjoyable and relaxing stay in your cosy, comfortable cottage. The weather has been gloriously warm and we have had a lovely time getting to know this part of Derbyshire. The pub across the way served great food and had a few nice gins to try ! Had a lovely walk up to the small Church. It has been nice to reaquaint ourselves with Matlock and Bakewell. Had a marvellous meal at The Curry Cottage at Lovers Leapt. Slept very well in the comfortable bed. Such breathtaking scenery has been food for the soul and we reluctantly leave having enjoyed a home away from home."
