Visitor's Comments

"We wanted to say how much we enjoyed our stay in your cottage over Christmas. It is a lovely place with such character and such a sense of history and we were made to feel very welcome. The property was well equipped, clean and tidy and had everything we needed except a nutcracker. We had left ours behind so had to go without the traditional cracked nuts after Christmas dinner! During our stay we had a fine welcome and a lovely meals at the Pack Horse Inn in the village and also at the Royal Oak."

"Lovely cottage, nice relaxing place. Beautiful views and walks. Great view of fireworks for New Year. Boys enjoyed going back to basic, playing board games, cards, hied 'n' seek. Would love to come back in warmer weather to have longer walks and to see the place in its Summer glory."

"An absolute privilege to stay in this cottage - lovely both inside and out. Welcome "goodies" most appreciated. Most enjoyable re-acquainting ourselves with the Peak District after a considerable absence and leaving making promises it won't be so long until our next sojourn."

"Your lovely home was just what we were looking for, and so not at all disappointed ! This was the first walking holiday with our 2 labradors and we certainly made the most of the local walks, plus Chatsworth and Dovedale. Thanks for the wine and chocs , a very nice touch ! Pulled some rhubarb which made a nice dessert. We shall certainly miss the stunning view and hope to return for another visit very soon."
