"If there were 1,000 stars to rate our time at Broad Gorse Barn, it wouldn't be enough. Our time here was for month long visit to the UK for our daughter who came to train and compete in the UK. We needed a quiet and tranquil place for her to focus and relax after training each day. We brought the grandparents along and they were able to enjoy the grandkids and the area. A month in one home can be really terrible if its not up to expectations - however, in this case, this home was BEYOND our expectations in every manner. Even before we arrived, the owners had contacted us to confirm details and made us feel welcome, even providing specific things like a blender for our daughter, hair dryers, (so we didn't have to carry them) etc. After a transatlantic flight, upon arrival we were greeted with all the basic necessities to get us through the first 24hrs. Fresh eggs and milk, and bread, and some cookies. This was such a kind gesture!! Each bathroom was stocked with toilet paper and hand and shower soap, so that we didn't feel like we had to run out immediately for the basics - its the small things that matter! The owners have taken such great care to think of every little detail to make their guests feel comfortable. The house is CLEAN, super clean. Every bedroom has its own bathtub and shower. The bedrooms are amazingly comfortable, each mattress seems new and so soft, the bedsheets and towels are top notch, clearly the owners appreciate nice things! :) The kitchen is well stocked and we were able to cook every meal from the start. There are grocery stores within a few miles with incredibly fresh foods. We also found some great pubs nearby, our favorite was the Red Lion - delicious food! Our 11yr old loved the walks in the fields, the large movie and board game collection, climbing trees, and a day at the Heights of Abraham, a must do if you have kids. We even got to witness the barn owls......amazing! The hot tub was a major bonus and we used it every day! I cannot say enough about the professionalism yet home touches and kindness that is evident of these owners and this property. We would absolutely stay at Broad Gorse Barn again, a million times over! Thank you for an amazing month, we made some fantastic memories and we miss our Broad Gorse Barn family very much!"
