"We had a lovely stay at Ivy Cottage. It provided a comfortable and relaxing base from which we explored the wonderful country side, that Derbyshire has to offer. The flowers and biscuits left were a lovely surprise. Coming from Australia I found this cottage charming and loved the view from my window every morning. The many extra touches such as local info were greatly appreciated, thanks Janet for making our time here so enjoyable."

"We’ve had a lovely week at Ivy Cottage. Thank you for greeting us on arrival, and for the gifts. The cottage is spotlessly clean and extremely well equipped. Lots of places to visit on the door step. We went to Ilam and walked to Dovedale also Heights of Abraham and Gullivers Kingdom. We’ve not had enough time to visit everywhere we wanted to, so hopefully we will be back."

"Thank you Janet for your warm welcome and lovely gifts of milk, wine, biscuits and roses. Such a nice surprise and we settled into the cottage straight away. We must commend you on how spotlessly clean the cottage was as this enabled us to relax immediately and start enjoying our holiday. We particularly loved the outside space and sunny kitchen, of course the summer house was a surprise and a delight. How peaceful to sit outside in the court yard with a cup of tea and a good book to read. The location of the cottage is ideal, situated within easy reach of Derbyshire’s many attractions. Handy to have a co-op within easy walking distance for the morning papers and croissants for breakfast. We visited many places ; Buxton, Crich, Cromford, Masson Mills, Matlock, (and Bath), Bakewell, Monyash, Eyam, Longshaw Estate, Belper, Ashford in the water and Chatsworth Farm Shop to name a few. We love being in Derbyshire particularly when we have such a fantastic base as Ivy Cottage. Ivy cottage is a home from home, which has enabled us to relax and enjoy our holiday."

"Thank you for being so welcoming and greeting us with wine and biscuits after a very long journey from the south of England. The summer house was the icing on the cake and we made full use of it as we did the court yard. It’s a wonderful area and we enjoyed visiting Chatsworth, Heights of Abraham, Derwent Reservoir, Bakewell Market and the market in Buxton. Would love to return one day, hopefully with my sister and brother – in- law."
