Ivy Cottage is a brilliant stone cottage, just added to our collection, renovated to a superb standard with a lovely lounge, ultra modern dining kitchen, three super bedrooms, a family bathroom and downstairs cloakroom. Its sumptuous furnishings and drapes, quality decoration and glowing log-burning stove make this a very special home from home. Then there is the fantastic Wisteria clad rear patio and delightful summerhouse!
Tucked away in Two Dales it's got a super location. Sit on the patio with your morning toast as the village comes to life. Wander down to the local shops just along the road. Take a picnic to share with the ducks in nearby Whitworth Park. Set out along the footpaths for afternoons exploring the beautiful Derwent Valley. If there is an evening chill in the air just cuddle up in front of the stove when you walk back from the pub.
If Bakewell is just a few minutes drive away then so are all Derbyshire's other holiday attractions. Local to Two Dales there is Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall, Peak Rail's steam trains or the cable cars in Matlock Bath, bargains galore in the shops in Peak Village or Masson Mill, or just lovely meals in the numerous local restaurants. Barringtons restaurant in Two Dales is one of our real favorites.

"Thank you for being so welcoming and greeting us with wine and biscuits after a very long journey from the south of England. The summer house was the icing on the cake and we made full use of it as we did the court yard. It’s a wonderful area and we enjoyed visiting Chatsworth, Heights of Abraham, Derwent Reservoir, Bakewell Market and the market in Buxton. Would love to return one day, hopefully with my sister and brother – in- law."

"This lovely cottage has been a real haven during a frantic week, helping our daughter and son –in –law move home, with their ten month old baby in very heavy snow. We have greatly appreciated the warmth and comfort, and the many deft and thoughtful touches that make this such a charming, comfortable and lovely house. We were grateful too, for such a warm and helpful welcome, highly recommended."

A great location and we really got into the festive spirit going to Bakewell, Chesterfield and Chatsworth, and a wintry walk along the Monsal Trail. Everything in the cottage was in excellent condition and lovely. WE LOVED the surprise in the Summer House! Thank you very much!"
