Jaret House is a real gem of a holiday retreat with its spacious lounge, dining and breakfast rooms, well equipped kitchen and four en-suite bedrooms. Attractive decoration, comfortable furnishings and even a glowing log burning stove say it all. Sit on the little terrace with your breakfast and watch village life go by. Wander up to 'High Nelly's' for a scrumptious lunch. The Merchant's Yard restaurant is great for an evening meal.
Close to the centre of picturesque Tideswell the house's location is just great. This is one of the best Peak District villages with its range of local shops, a small supermarket, three cafes, two fish and chip shops and three great pubs. Walks and cycle ways radiate in all directions, out across the Peaks where the views are fantastic or along leafy Water Cum Jolly Dale where the river Wye splashes down the valley.
This is the very heart of the Peak District with its magnificent countryside, yet you will be tempted by lots of other attractions. Buxton with its famous Opera House is great. Castleton with its Blue John caverns is unique. Have a picnic at Great Hucklow and watch the para-gliders floating by. Chatsworth House and mellow Bakewell, famed for its puddings, are just as close.
A spacious lounge with leather sofas, stone fireplace, glowing log burning stove, T.V., DVD, Freeview and WiFi. A dining room with oak table and chairs. A breakfast room by the kitchen with table and chairs. A super kitchen with bespoke units, six burner hob, electric oven, microwave, large fridge/freezer, dishwasher, automatic washer and tumble dryer. A double bedroom with en-suite shower room with W.C. "Jaret House was perfect for us with enough space for everyone to have their own bedroom and yet cosy enough for us to all sit in the living room together. Meal times in the large dining room were a focal point for planning/discussing the days' activities. It was great and there was nothing missing from our wish list."

"A delightful cosy comfortable cottage with everything you need. Tideswell is a great holiday location. There are a wide range of friendly shops, pubs and cafe's only a few minutes walk from the cottage. We have been on some stunning walks from the front door. We would recommend the local walk along Church Lane to Litton and then on to Cressbrook Dale, cross the river at Cessbrook Mill and back via Litton Mill, Tideswell Dale to home. The Red Lion pub at Litton is great and it's an easy drive to Edale for amazing walks in The Dark Peaks. We will be back."
