Tallan Green Cottage is an utterly wonderful cottage with spacious accommodation that has been superbly decorated and furnished to create the ultimate holiday home. The luxurious sofas and glowing stove in the fantastic lounge, ultra modern kitchen, superb bedrooms with quality linen and the classy bathroom, just about say it all. Then remember that the village pub is just round the corner.

Litton with its 'real' local shop and famous Red Lion pub is a very picturesque village in the midst of fantastic Peak District scenery. There are walks galore in every direction but best of all are dramatic Millers Dale or Cressbrook Dale running into beautiful Monsal Dale where, if you are lucky, you can share your picnic lunch with the ducks as you marvel at the rainbow in the sunlight over the lovely waterfall.

Surrounded by all this magnificent scenery you will be lost for words if you are walkers but don't forget that Chatsworth, Bakewell and all the other famous sights are close by. Our local favourites include listening to the incredible echo in the Dome in Buxton, reliving the Dambusters on a visit to the Derwent Valley Dams and exploring the amazing Blue John caverns in Castleton.

"This cottage is in a gorgeous village, a great location being right next to the Red Lion inn and it was beautifully appointed and decorated. Great to be able to use the clothes washing machine, lovely comfy lounges. Great kitchen for cooking with all the implements you need. Lovely modern bathroom, comfy beds with very nice linen, lots of cupboard space for clothes. Nice to have a separate dining room with a heated floor. And lots of helpful information about activities and facilities in the area which is always appreciated. We felt really comfy and indulged at this perfect cottage."

"Very nice large cottage, convenient location in small village of Litton, and close to many of the Peak District attractions. Plenty of character features in the cottage, together with a large well equipped modern kitchen. Adjacent Red Lion pub very handy for a pint and no noise, although rather pricey pub food."
