Visitor's Comments

"A week isn’t long enough to enjoy this lovely cottage. Perfect location with walks from the door and we loved watching the cows taking their evening paddle by the bridge. Appreciated the welcome tray and flowers and the spotlessly clean rooms. It was also helpful to have such clear instructions for all the gadgets."

"Lovely cosy cottage in an idyllic location, plenty of walks from the door for differing abilities. Excellent for bird watching and strolling along the riverbank. Central for the South Peak District. Cottage has all you need and also shops and pubs within walking distance (uphill) Also plenty of lovely pubs nearby serving selection of quality ales and serving good food and with very friendly landlords and staff. HomeAway recommended restaurants/pubs outside Youlgreave that we tried were all excellent. Pubs in the village provide basic pub grub and are very friendly. Would definitely recommend the cottage and Youlgreave."

"Very relaxing week in this lovely cottage in a great location. Many enjoyable walks from the cottage which was also great for bird watching. Also enjoyed Haddon Hall and Chatsworth is well worth a visit. Would recommend The Crispin Inn, Great Longstone and The Druid, Birchover. Missed the kingfisher but saw several dippers. Bakewell is lovely but would not recommend Matlock Bath unless you‘re looking for fish and chips and amusement arcades. Thank you for the biscuits."
